Codename: Synthchip was named as such because I had one singular goal: to show as many people as possible that Chiptune is a fantastic genre with so much untapped potential to mix with modern music in every facet. So I made an album and blended Chiptune with various genres, including Classical, Dubstep, Synthwave, Post-Rock, etc. I consider this album to be the true debut album of my musical career.

I've developed a connection with Chiptune music that I can only describe as being like a toasty blanket on a cold, snowy night. Chiptune can create haunting tonal variations and sweeping sunlit soundscapes with a technically limited sonic palette. Those limitations ironically make Chiptune primed for a modern resurgence; it feels natural to place them alongside other genres because of the mechanical simplicity.

I'm proud of this album because it's just the beginning! I want to keep exploring new sides of Chiptune, learning to fuse it with other genres to an even better degree, and creating hopefully memorable and unique sounds along the way. I hope you all enjoy Codename: Synthchip! :)
